Market Name: Silky Silver / Viscon White / Thunder White.
Origin: South India (Quarried in the Madanapalle and Chittoor belt, Andhra Pradesh/Tamil Nadu border).
Why "Silky"? Unlike normal granite which has dots (grains), this stone has long, flowing waves of grey and white. When polished, these waves create a satin or "silky" visual texture.
Base Color: White to Off-White (Greyish tone).
Pattern:
Movement: High movement. It features "rivers" or "clouds" of Charcoal Grey and Black flowing across the slab.
Variation: High. No two slabs are the same. Some are mostly white (premium), while others have heavy black waves (commercial).
Garnets: You may occasionally find tiny red/purple dots (garnets) in the veins, but fewer than in Colonial White.
| Property | Value / Rating | Notes |
| Hardness (Mohs) | 6 7 | Very hard. Much more durable than marble. |
| Density | 2,650 kg/m | Standard high-density granite. |
| Water Absorption | 0.25% 0.40% | Medium. Because of the "veins," it absorbs slightly more water than solid black granite. Sealing is recommended for kitchen use. |
| Porosity | Low to Medium | The dark veins can sometimes have micro-fissures (natural characteristics), so epoxy treatment is common. |
